Sets up cafeteria/tray lines, steam tables, with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. Serves food in patient cafeteria or tray assembly line by placing uniform portions of food on plates according to instructions. Breaks down and cleans work area, including electrical equipment when meal service is finished. Sets up and operates dish machine and pot and pan washer and cleans equipment after washing dishes according to standard operating procedures. Scrapes, soaks, scours and scrubs heavy cooking utensils such as mixing bowls, pots and steam jacketed kettles. Performs heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as cleaning walls, exhaust hoods, floors and spaces under and behind equipment. Moves health task containers from dishwashing area or pot and pan area to disposal area, and places in dumpsters. Knowledge of how to operate and properly clean food service equipment. Knowledge of proper water temperatures when cleaning dishes. Work Schedule:

Food Service Worker/PD04158A Physical Requirements:
Incumbent performs work requiring continual standing, walking and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing over 40 pounds with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers. May also be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:
Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
